Rovers Win Four In A Row At Home For First Time In Six Years

Despite suffering through losing the league double at the hands of Burnley for the first time since 1978 on e weekend, Rovers performances have improved, and the 2-0 win against Birmingham City on Tuesday marked a positive milestone that will be warmly welcomed by the club's loyal supporters.
March 11, 2016

The victory marked the first time Rovers have won four league home games in a row since the 2009/10 season, when the club finished on 50 points, 10th in the table in the Premier League. That was a time when there was something called Fortress Ewood, and consistency at home has long been a cornerstone of a successful league campaign.

Understandably, manager Paul Lambert has reason to be satisfied with the players' recent efforts on the pitch.

This was reflected in his latest interview with BBC Radio Lancashire. Lambert expressed his satisfaction with the team's performances of late during this heavy fixture period, praised recent signings Watt, Gomez, and Graham, and revealed his intention to add four to five more quality players to the senior squad over the summer to prepare for a promotion push next season.
