Free Burnley Tickets – Win With Rovers Trust

Rovers Trust has announced a major competition to win a hospitality package for the biggest game of the season.
February 13, 2013

The official supporters trust of Blackburn Rovers is offering a lucky winner two matchday tickets for the home game against local rivals Burnley on Sunday March 17.

The competition is open to all fans, including existing Rovers Trust members, and has been designed to raise awareness of the Trust and encourage supporters to think about why a supporters trust is so important for Blackburn Rovers.

The tickets for two are for hospitality in the Red Rose Suite followed by seats in the Jack Walker stand.

The competition - to be judged by Rovers legends Simon Garner and Glenn Keeley - has been made possible because Rovers Trust sponsors striker Leon Best, who is returning from a long injury break and could be in contention well in time for the must-win derby game.

This sponsorship is part of a long-term strategy by Rovers Trust to support the club financially by working in partnership with the Ewood Park commercial department whenever an opportunity arises to promote the Trust and benefit the club.

Brian Lamb, corporate officer for Rovers Trust, said: “Rovers Trust wants to support Blackburn Rovers commercially as well as being fans of the club. We are showing that it is beneficial to all parties to work together for the good of Blackburn Rovers.

“Our aims are to have a dialogue with the owners and their representatives in Blackburn to secure a shareholding for the supporters in the club.

“The more members we have, the louder our voice and the greater chance there is we will succeed.

“This fantastic competition will be very popular with Rovers fans and we hope it provides an opportunity for supporters to think about what the Trust means and why they should join.

“Hundreds of fans have already done so, but we want to encourage new members all the time. It’s only £10 to join and that gives you exclusive membership of a highly-organised Trust that is looking to take a positive role in the future ownership of Blackburn Rovers.”

To enter the competition you need to complete this sentence in no more than 140 characters:

A Fans Share in Ownership is important for Rovers because…..
