Derek Shaw leaves Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn Rovers has announced managing director Derek Shaw has left his post at the club.

A statement on the club’s website reads as follows:

“Blackburn Rovers can confirm that managing director Derek Shaw has left the club with immediate effect. Due to ongoing other business interests Mr. Shaw has found combining the two roles too time consuming and difficult going forward. The club wishes Mr Shaw all the best for the future.”

Shaw had held his position at the club since his appointment by the Venky’s in June 2012, joining alongside the club’s so-called “global advisor” Shebby Singh, with whom he experienced a fractious relationship and has seen no fewer than six managers pass through the doors at Ewood Park during his time at the club.
