Rovers Trust AGM 2018

The AGM was relative success, with an attendance of 20 leading to lots of interesting discussion between the Chair, Vice Chair and our members.
June 11, 2018

The main ‘takeaways’ were as below:

The Trust is now dealing with a better club structure at Rovers (mainly through the appointment of a competent CEO in Steve Waggott) and thus feel we can engage more as a ‘critical friend’, rather than simply criticising from the sidelines. However, we wish to reiterate that the Trust’s aims remain to obtain a stake in the Club and a level of Supporter Representation at Board level.

While we can now reset our relationship with the club, we must remember that it is still fragile, owing to the debt still overshadowing some of the positive steps being taken. Indeed, most of our members agree that we must not ‘rock the boat’ while we are in a period of relative success. This is especially important when we consider the turmoil surrounding some of our fellow Championship clubs; notably Derby, QPR, and Aston Villa.
